Post and Vacancies: Total 7740 (Seven thousand seven hundred and forty) vacancies for clerk position, out of these 1241 (one thousand two hundred and forty one) for scheduled cast, 466 (Four hundred and sixty six) for scheduled tribe, 1926 (one thousand nine hundred and twenty six) for other backward classes and 4107 (four thousand one hundred and seven) for general category candidates.

Important Dates:

- Online registration link for SBI clerk post will be available (www.sbi.co.in / www.statebankofindia.com) from: 30^th July, 2012

- Closing date of SBI clerk online registration: 13^th Aug, 2012.

-Deposit application processing fee offline mode between: 1^st Aug, 2012 to 17^th Aug, 2012

- Deposit application processing fee online mode between: 30^th July, 2012 to 13^th Aug, 2012

- Written test dates: 7^th Oct, 2012 (Sunday) and 14^th Oct, 2012 (Sunday).

Eligibility Criteria

Age: Applicant who interested in this 7740 clerk recruitment project must be between 18 (eighteen) years to 28 (twenty eight) years as on 1^st Aug, 2012. Age relaxation for scheduled cast, tribe, other backward classes and person with disability available as per government of India rules, guidelines and instruction.

Educational qualification: If applicant completed 10+2, he/she is eligible if scored minimum 60% and candidates who belongs to SC/ST/EXSM/PWD category relaxed with 5%, their minimum scores required 55%. If anyone completed graduation degree from UGC recognised university directly eligible for this post no minimum aggregate marks required.

Selection Procedure

State Bank of India will arrange written examination for all candidates who successfully applied for clerk position. At the time of online registration applicant have to choose suitable examination centre, written test will be conducted at selected examination centre only. After this SBI will publish result for this exam and qualified candidates will be call for personal interview. Final selection will be made by bank after personal interview. Both written test and interview performance will be considered at the time of final selection.

Online Application registration process

Fee: Rs. 350 (Rupee three hundred and fifty only) for general and other backward classes candidates and Rs. 50 (Rupee fifty only) for other reserved category candidates. Payment can be deposit online or offline mode, below are the procedure to deposit application processing fee:

Online mode: if applicant selected online mode to deposit application fee, have choice to use debit card, credit card or net banking. After making payment don’t forget to take system automatically generated payment receipt.

Offline Mode: It is also very simple procedure, applicant first need to submit application form online mode. After this applicant need to take print out of payment challan form and on 2^nd day working day(after online registration) go to any State Bank of India branch and deposit fee in cash mode. Receipt required at the time of written test and personal interview.

Online Registration: Applicant may log on to SBI’s official website (www.sbi.co.in or www.statebankofindia.com), go to the recruitment section and click on SBI associate bank’s clerk recruitment 2012 project and also click on apply online link and submit application form online on or before the last date i.e. 13/8/2012.
